On November 5th, blow your mind with the electrifying science of Tesla coils and Austin Richards, PhD—aka Dr. MegaVolt®. This electrifying Exploratorium Science After Dark, a special 40th Anniversary event, will feature Dr. MegaVolt® jousting with 14-foot electrical arcs from his high voltage Tesla Coil.

Enjoy special screenings of the films Energie and Electrum, create and tame sparks of your own with Senior Physicist Paul Doherty, observe glowing pickles with biologist Caitlin Johnson, and explore The Neuron Chamber with staff scientist in resident Alan Rorie. Don’t miss this gathering of electrically charged presentations!
